Dana Beasiswa Utusan Daerah (BUD) yang diberikan Pemerintah Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatera Utara, itu diduga dicabut lantaran Arnita menjadi mualaf atau berpindah ke agama Islam.

Beasiswa itu diberikan kepada Arnita karena dia merupakan siswi yang berprestasi di Kabupaten Simalungun. Lisnawati, ibu Arnita, menceritakan kepada Suara.com, beasiswa itu juga yang kemudian mengantarkan Arnita menjadi mahasiswi di Fakultas Kehutanan IPB angkatan 2015.

”Pada 7 Agustus 2015, Arnita dengan 27 mahasiswa Simalungun penerima BUD berangkat ke IPB Bogor untuk menempuh studi. Arnita tercatat sebagai mahasiwi pada Program Studi Silvikultur Fakultas Kehutanan IPB,” kata Lisnawati kepada Suara.com melalui sambungan telepon, Rabu (1/8/2018).

Beasiswa yang diperoleh Arnita berupa biaya kuliah satu semester Rp 11 juta, dan uang saku Rp 1 juta setiap bulan.Dalam kontrak BUD, Arnita hanya disyaratkan harus berkontribusi untuk daerah setelah menyelesaikan perkuliahannya. Selain itu, syarat Arnita tetap mendapat beasiswa itu ialah memunyain indeks prestasi (IP) minimal 2,50 per semester. Kalaupun DO, Arnita diwajibkan memulangkan semua dana beasiswa.

Selang satu setengah bulan, tepatnya 21 September 2015, Arnita ternyata menjadi mualaf atau berpindah ke agama Islam. Mengetahui itu, orangtuanya sempat melarang ia masuk Islam. Sebab, dikhawatirkan beasiswanya dicabut oleh Pemkab Simalungun.

“Waktu itu bapaknya bilang, jangan dulu masuk Islam, nanti beasiswamu bermasalah. Kata bapaknya nanti saja kalau sudah lulus kuliah. Namun dia ngotot dan bilang keyakinan tak bisa dihalangi. Ya sudah akhirnya dia mualaf,” Lisnawati.

Memasuki semester dua, kekhawatiran orang tuanya terbukti. Arnita tak mendapatkan uang saku dari pemkab. Padahal, teman-teman lainnya tetap menerima. Agar bisa terus menghidupi diri selama berkuliah di IPB, Arnita berjualan sejumlah barang via online.

“Semester dua dia tidak menerima uang saku BUD, tapi dia tetap kuliah sambil bekerja dan dagang online,” ujar Lisnawati.

Memasuki semester tiga, Arnita mendapat surat dari rektorat IPB yang tertulis BUD dicabut oleh Pemkab Simalungun dan biaya kuliahnya sejak semester dua sudah tidak dibayar. Saat itu, Arnita sempat menelpon keluarga dan marah-marah karena BUD-nya disetop. “Waktu itu berkomunikasi dengan saya dia agak aneh, dia uring-uringan,” ucap sang ibu.Namun, Arnita tetap berkuliah pada semester 3 itu. Tapi, karena tak lagi bisa indekos, Arnita pindah ke asrama mahasiswi IPB.

Sebelumnya, dia tinggal bersama teman-temannya sesama mahasiswa Simalungun penerima beasiswa daerah. Sejak saat itu ia sudah tidak fokus kuliah dan lebih sibuk dengan bisnis onlinenya. Akibatnya, IP semester Arnita turun drastis. Lalu, ia putus kontak dengan keluarga. Orangtuanya khawatir dan berusaha untuk mencarinya. Para kerabat dan sanak saudaranya di kampung berspekulasi. Ada yang menduga Arnita ikut kelompok aliran Islam radikal dan menjadi teroris.

“Kami keluarga terbawa isu, soalnya saudara-saudara bapaknya bilang jangan-jangan dia sudah dicuci otaknya dan masuk ISIS, teroris,” tuturnya. Karenanya khawatir, Lisnawati dan sang suami datang ke Bogor dan menjemput paksa Arnita. Sesampainya di Simalungun, kerabat membawa Arnita ke paranormal. Bahkan, oleh paranormal, Arnita sempat disiram air kencing babi karena dinilai kerasukan.

“Anak saya sampai dimandikan air kencing babi, supaya sumbuh kata orang-orang kampung. Kalau di Islam kayak orang dirukiyah,” kata dia.Kepada Ibunya, Arnita mengaku ia tidak masuk jaringan teroris. Nilai perkuliahannya anjlok karena sibuk berjualan untuk membiayai kuliah  serta kehidupan sehari-hari.

“Kemudian dia cerita kepada saya. Aku bukan Islam radikal dan teroris mak, tapi aku harus bekerja dan dagang karena untuk cari uang kuliahku,” ujar Lisnawati.

Berjuang Pulihkan Beasiswa Arnita. Sebagai Ibu, Lisnawati pun ikut perjuangkan beasiswa anaknya agar dipulihkan kembali oleh Pemkab Simalungun. Ia menghadap Bupati Simalungun melalui bantuan seorang ASN.

Namun, keluhannya tidak mendapat respons baik dari sang bupati. Ia dipimpong ke jajaran di bawah. “Saat saya bertemu bapak bupati, tampaknya beliau sudah kenal nama anak saya. Tapi tidak dapat respons baik,” kata dia. Tak hanya sampai di situ, ia juga datang menemui gubernur Sumut. Di Kota Medan, ia bahkan harus menginap di masjid satu malam, agar keesokan hari bisa menemui Gubernur Tengku Erry Nuradi.

“ Bapak Gubernur responsnya baik. Saya diarahkan ke sekda, berharap anak saya dapat beasiswa dan tetap bisa melanjutkan kuliah di IPB. Tapi ternyata belum ada program beasiswa untuk mahasiswa, yang ada masih sampai SMA,” tambah dia.

Kekinian, Arnita berkuliah di Universitas Buya Hamka (Uhamka) Jakarta, sambil berjualan online untuk biaya kuliah dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, Arnita, keluarga, maupun pihak Ombudsman berharap dana BUD dari Pemkab Simalungun bisa diaktifkan kembali.
